How can i become a massage therapist?

I can't afford university's and i was looking for somewhere local. I live in bremerton, WA . I have heard that Everest College is bad and i was looking for a way to start my schooling. Does anyone know how to become a massage therapist?

1. You are correct in that Everest is really poor. There are now many others like Everest, poor schools that produce poor therapists. If you spend 1500.00 at a school that is the kind of education you will get. Do your homework and realize that a good school will cost about 10,000. There is a school in Oregon, and if you want to travel there is a good one in Hudson, WI.
2. Yes. Find a school that has classes in your area and see the cost for each. FL only requires the minimum of 500 hours so i finished in 24 weeks full time. I'll be taking the national exam next month to become licensed and be able to work. According to the text book i bought it says that WA only requires 500 hours and licensing as well. Meaning you finish the schooling and take the NCETMB or MBLEx. www.don.wa.gov
