Plugged 110V massager to 230V outlet?

Plugged in a 110V 60Hz massage chair to a 230V 50hz outlet. The fuse in the massage chair broke. Is there a chance for the massage chair to still be safe without damages. is it safe to replace the fuse and switch it on using a voltage regulator. This is a latest model massage chair. Your responses are appreciated.

  1. You may be lucky, yes. Make sure that the voltage regulator changes the frequncy (Hz) though - the massage chair's motors may be sensitive to the frequency, and overheat if it's the wrong one.
  2. There is a good chance your chair is OK, but it would be a good idea to get someone who is qualified to check it for you.
  3. Boom! Have a qualified technician to check it. Don't attempt to plug it again.
  4. Not having much luck with this chair, are you? If you replace the fuse, make sure it is an exact voltage & amperage value replacement for the burnt one!
