What is the difference between a Thai massage and a normal massage ?

2. I had a Thai massage quite a few years ago when I was in Thailand. I love a good massage, but I don't think Thai massage is really my thing. While it did involve some of the rubbing/ kneeding movements used in a normal massage, it also involved the stretching of a variety of body parts (limbs, back, neck etc.) in a number of 'interesting' directions. It wasn't for me. If you are getting your massage in a western country it may be possible that they do a slightly westernized version of Thai massage.
